Study & Family Spaces

Group Study Rooms

Over 30 study rooms are available for student use in the library. Study rooms can be reserved for 2-hour blocks up to 2 days in advance.

Family Study Room

A large study space with toys and games to support students and their children. Located in LIB 143, First Floor Southwest.

Room does not require a reservation to use or access.

Infant Care & Lactation Room

A room provided for caring for infants, with a comfortable chair, smal refrigerator, and a changing table. Located in LIB 139, First Floor West.

Room does not require a reservation to use or access.

Shushbooths

Two enclosed study booths, seating 1-4 people, are available in the Innovation Hub, LIB 158, 1st Floor West.

Classroom 122 - contains round tables and chairs, front of classroom has a whiteboard and projector capable.

Classroom available 6pm to close by officially registered student clubs, and members of the Panhellenic or Interfraternity Councils.

When not reserved for clubs, the room is available 6pm to close M-F and on weekends for group study.

New Books Lounge sitting area

New Books Reading Lounge

An open reading/study space that houses popular reading materials and recent additions to USU's collections. Located on the 2nd Floor East.

Honors Lounge

Large group study room with computers, reserved for honors students. Located in Room 334H, 3rd Floor North.

May Swenson study lounge

May Swenson Study Lounge

An open study space with several large table and chairs, located on the 4th Floor West. Features framed poems by May Swenson and photographs from Cache Valley and events in the poet's life.

Technology & Media Spaces

Innovation Hub

The Innovation Hub brings together audio/video recording tools, 3D printing, VR headsets, and other emerging technologies into an to adaptable learning space designed to facilitate interdisciplinary research and learning.

Disability Resource Center Room

Provides screen-reading software and tools. Located in LIB 114, First Level North.

Meeting Spaces

Merrill-Cazier Library has several spaces that can be reserved for meetings and other events by USU students, faculty and staff, and other campus groups. Fees may apply.

Foyer Table

Open foyer area at entrance of the library building. Table and 2 chairs provided.

Available for tabling related to university business, including USU offices, officially registered student clubs, and members of the Panhellenic or Interfraternity Councils.
