Unique Collections

Search USU’s collections of rare books, manuscripts, photographs, and other materials representing the history and culture of the Intermountain West and beyond. View items in person on the Lower Level of the Merrill-Cazier Library, with some items viewable online via our Digital Collections.

As one of the largest repositories of American folklore in the United States, the Fife Folklore Archives contains folklore collected by students in the USU Folklore Program, folklore fieldwork and research, and folklore books, including the Austin and Alta Fife and Malcolm Laws Collections.

Houses unique art and music collections, including the Beat Poetry, Little Magazine and Prestini collections. Located on the Lower Level of Merrill-Cazier Library, Room 042.

Merrill-Cazier Library is a Regional Depository for U.S. Government publications. A number of publications in a variety of formats are housed in Government Documents, located on the Lower Level Southwest.
