As a Scholarly Communications Librarian at USU, Cameron Nielsen coordinates the Library's Research Data Services, including consulting on data management plans and providing guidance on data sharing repositories and options. He has previously worked as a Health Sciences Librarian at Utah Tech University in St. George, and as Reference and Instruction Librarian at Penn State University's Scranton and Wilkes-Barre campuses. His research interests revolve around the history of knowledge (roughly as defined by Peter Burke), information technologies, and the formation of normative intellectual boundaries such as secular/religious, science/magic, and technology/nature. In his free time, Cameron enjoys reading, painting, music, and spending time with his fiance and their two cats.
