Can you tell what's real online and what's misinformation? Join us for an interactive workshop where you'll test your instincts, explore real-world examples of misinformation, and learn practical strategies for evaluating online, social media, and AI-generated content. Plus, enjoy cake while you play, learn, and put your fact-checking skills to the test.
Wrangle Your References: Using Zotero to Organize and Cite

Managing sources efficiently is a critical part of academic research. In this hands-on workshop, students will learn to set up and sync a Zotero account, set up shared groups, organize sources with folders, tags, and notes, and import citations from a variety of databases. Participants will practice generating bibliographies and using "cite while you write" to format citations directly in Word, leaving with an organized reference library and greater confidence managing sources in their own research.

The Three C’s: Communication, Connection, and Collaboration at USU

Building meaningful relationships is an essential part of the college experience. In this interactive workshop, students will learn how to identify and pursue opportunities across Utah State University while developing strategies for creating, maintaining, and strengthening professional and academic connections. Participants will craft a personal elevator speech and practice introducing themselves in small groups, leaving with practical communication skills and greater confidence in building their campus network.
