Merrill-Cazier library celebrated Valentine’s Day with an event highlighting the love of books. Niki Fulmer, online learning librarian, organized the second annual Blind Date with A Book, which took place on February 13th and 14th. 103 books from classic literature, graphic novels, Young Adult books and everything in between were wrapped in festive Valentines themed paper. Without peeking, students picked books based on a short description and then checked them out for their very own “blind date”.

All 103 books were checked out over the two-day event, as well as a lot of candy! Fulmer was very pleased with the turn out, “We really wanted to show off the great books that we have in the library’s collection, and also add a bit of cheer during the cold February month. It was great to see so many students excited about the books and we plan to continue this event for the years to come.”
