Plug the soldering iron only into a wall outlet. Do not plug the soldering iron into a power strip or extension cord.
Soldering irons are only to be used with soldering material. Do not attempt to use it on any other materials, including wood, plastic, or 3D print filament.
Use soldering iron only when the fume extractor is running and placed close to your project.
Wash hands thoroughly after using soldering iron or touching soldering equipment to reduce the risk of lead exposure.
Do not touch the soldering iron tip, even after it is unplugged. Be aware all exposed metal will heat to the temperature set. Only the rubber handle is safe to touch.
If you are not holding the iron, it must be properly situated in the stand. Never set it on a table or other surface.
Avoid loose or dangling clothing and tie back long hair before use.
Do not return the iron to the box until it is completely cooled (an employee can put it away later if you need to leave).
