A Laminator

A paper laminator is a device used to apply a protective layer of plastic film onto documents, photos, cards, or other paper-based materials. This process helps to preserve and enhance the appearance of the documents by providing a durable, waterproof, and tear-resistant coating.

Instructions

1

Pay

Ask the Emerging Technology consultant for lamination sheets. Pay $0.15 for each sheet using your student ID.

2

Prep

Press the Power button. Select the 3 mil button. Wait roughly 1 minute for the ready button to turn blue.

3

Place

Place your paper or cardstock inside the lamination pouch. Ensure you leave a ⅛” lamination margin around your project. If you wish to trim your lamination, do so after it’s finished.

4

Insert

Place the SEALED end of the lamination pouch into the machine. Make sure the pouch goes in straight, to get best results.

5

Seal

The machine will automatically pull your project through. DO NOT PULL ON THE SHEET AS IT COMES THROUGH. If the laminator jams press the reverse lever to get the sheet to eject. Do not pick up your project until it cools to prevent warping. Thicker items may need to be fed through more than once.
