A 3D pen is a handheld device that allows users to draw, trace, or create three-dimensional objects in real-time. It functions by extruding heated plastic filament which quickly cools and solidifies, enabling users to build up layers and shapes in space. Similar to a handheld 3D printer, it provides a more tactile and intuitive approach to creating 3D models compared to traditional methods.

Check out pen from employee on duty.

Obtain appropriate filament and load into prepared pen.

Extrude filament onto work mat in desired design.

Allow extruded filament to cool before removing from mat.
