Ways to Give to the Merrill-Cazier Library
Make a Monetary Gift
Your monetary donation will help strengthen our collections by providing resources that can be used for immediate needs. Or, if designated, a gift to the endowment will insure continued support well into the future. Monetary gifts include personal checks, currency, money orders, credit card, and electronic funds transfer. All monetary gifts are tax deductible as provided by law.
You can make your monetary gift, using one of the following options:
- USU's online giving form (select "Other" from the drop-down, then enter "Library" in the Other Giving Area box)
- Download and mail our Giving Form along with a check payable to Utah State University to the following address:
Utah State University
3000 Old Main Hill
Logan, UT 84322-3000
Make a Memorial or Honorific Gift
Contributions can be given in memory of someone who has passed away or in honor of someone associated with the university such as a former professor, fellow alum, or family member. Complete our giving form and choose a memorial or honorific gift. Gifts may also be used to create a named endowment to honor or memorialize someone special to you.
Memorial or honorific gifts can be made at a number of levels:
|$100||A new book in the library's collections will be dedicated with a bookplate mounted in the front cover and a searchable note added to the catalog record|
|$250||A chair will be dedicated with an engraved metal plate|
|$500||A table will be dedicated with an engraved metal plate|
|$1000||A table will be dedicated with an engraved metal plate|
|$5000||A room or study space in the Library will be dedicated in honor of your loved one|
Give to the Faculty Library Endowment Fund
This Faculty Library Endowment provides funds for library holdings, including subscriptions and online access to journals. Please consider investing in the most basic foundation of research and education at USU by contributing with a cash gift using our giving form or through payroll deduction (List “Faculty Library Endowment” in the “Funds Supported” column.)
Include the Library in an Estate or Will Plan
By including the Merrill-Cazier Libraries in your estate plan or will, you can leave a legacy and make a difference in the lives of USU students for generations. Bequests can be arranged through a variety of giving instruments, such as charitable gift annuities, life insurance, retirement accounts, or the proceeds from the sale of a home or farm.
For more information and planning assistance, please contact the Development Office at (800) 653-6246 or download giving form.
Donation of Materials
The Library will gladly accept contributions of materials such as rare books, or materials of historical interest for inclusion in USU's Special Collections & Archives. Please review our areas of collecting or contact Associate Dean Todd Welch at firstname.lastname@example.org or (435) 797-8268 if you are considering a donation of special materials.
Due to limited ability to review and catalog materials, the Library is no longer accepting books or other materials for inclusion in the general library collection.
