In May, the Government Information Department is highlighting Soil Surveys from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Soil Surveys cover every U.S. state and select territories, dating from 1899 to 2008. Current soil data is hosted in an online data tool, Web Soil Survey 2.0. Soil data is relevant to a variety of researchers, from farmers to landscape architects, to regional planners. The Government Information Department has over 4,000 soil surveys in our collection. To learn more about these documents and their presence in the Government Information collection, visit the Lower Level display.
