Time: 12:00 pm
Where: Library Room 101

Pilar Pobil will visit Merrill-Cazier Library on Thursday, February 20th at noon for a gallery walk. Learn about Pobil’s inspiration and creative process straight from the artist herself. This event is free and open to the public.

Pilar Pobil is a renowned artist who was born in Spain “at a time when women were not encouraged to pursue their ambitions.” Pilar’s life took a more traditional route – she got married, moved to the United States and had three children. In her forties, she decided to chase her heart and devoted the rest of her life to her art. Pilar is self-taught and currently resides in Salt Lake City.

USU Libraries is honored to exhibit some of Pilar’s work in our atrium. You can see her work now until February 23rd.
