Open access (OA) is transforming academic publishing by increasing the impact of researchers’ work—but article processing charges have also been increasing dramatically. The USU Libraries invests about $4.5 million per year to provide access to crucial scientific literature for faculty and students, yet these costs continue to increase.

Delve into the ways OA publishing has the potential to limit these radically unsustainable cost increases with USU Professor of Crop Physiology and President of Apogee Instruments, Dr. Bruce Bugbee.
