100th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage

August 19, 2020 is the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Its language is simple and clear: “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”

If you’re interested to learn about the suffrage movement in Utah, the national movement’s difficult history with African-American men and women, and find other resources about suffrage, please see this LibGuide. To learn about women’s suffrage activity in Cache Valley, explore Women's Suffrage: Voting Rights in Cache County, Utah 1870-1965, created by SCA student staff member Chloe Miller.

If you’re in the library, you can stop by Rightfully Hers, a pop-up exhibit from the National Archives. If you’re working or studying remotely, you can explore the National Archives online exhibit.
