Collections at Utah State University

The Merrill-Cazier Library, the main library at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, serves the research interests of faculty and students on the Logan campus, as well as extension agents throughout the state and distance students and faculty at 30 Education Centers outside the Cache Valley. This web site provides information about the collecting interests, policies, and procedures of the Merrill-Cazier Library. If you would like to discuss specific library or information needs, contact the subject librarian assigned to your area.

The Merrill-Cazier Library contains over 1,505,000 total volumes, including 620,800 books, 300,370 government documents, over 100,000 maps, 12,760 current serial subscriptions, and access to over 200 bibliographic, fulltext, and informational databases. The Library is a regional depository of U.S. government publications, and, thus, has extensive holdings of U.S. agency documents, maps, and periodicals.

Reflecting the university's curriculum and research agenda, the USU Library has particularly strong collections in agriculture, natural resources, and technology. As new programs are developed, we look forward to working with departments and administrators to ensure that valuable library collections and information resources are made available to students and faculty in these areas.
