Register to the papers of the School of Engineering Utah State Agricultural College, 1933-1944

call number 14.4/1:17

These papers were arranged and processed in November and December 2000. The papers came from the College of Engineering in wooden file cabinets and sat undisturbed for nearly 30 years on the bottom floor of the Special Collections stack area. Most of the papers relate to the tenure of George Dewey Clyde ( See also, MS 176, Papers of George D. Clyde) who served as Dean of the School of Engineering from 1938 to 1945. Clyde became a member of the Utah State Agricultural College (USAC) faculty in 1923 Much of the collection concerns itself with New Deal Federal Agencies, water development projects, and World War II, specifically the Engineering School’s active role in Depression era and WW II educational programs on campus, and in Bureau of Reclamation projects. The papers have been organized alphabetically by subject.
