Instruction and Tours

Instruction - SCA staff conduct dozens of instructional classes each year. These classes range from middle-school Utah History Fair students to graduate-level seminar discussions. We have found that students of all ages are eager to view primary documents and rare books. This is especially true when combined with an instructor who is knowledgeable and excited about discussing the material.

Teachers are encouraged to adapt the content to fit their classroom objectives. Our lesson plans meet the Utah State Content Standards in History-Social Studies, Language Arts, Library Media, and Visual Arts.

Tours - SCA is open to tours of public areas of the division between eight and five Monday through Friday. We encourage potential tours to contact us in advance so that we can create a tour that is pertinent and interesting to the individual group.
