Using the Collections

Special Collections & Archives (SCA) has different hours and rules than the rest of the library.

• SCA is open from 8 to 5 Monday-Friday, and some Saturdays during the school year.
• Materials cannot be checked out, and must be used in the SCA reading room.
• SCA is located in the lower level of the Merrill-Cazier Library in room 035.

Visiting SCA

SCA is located in the lower level of the Merrill-Cazier Library within the heart of the USU campus. Follow the link to find information about parking, accommodations, and a map of campus.

Making Copies

In most cases SCA material may be copied for fair use purposes as well as publication and mailed out to long-distance patrons. The options for reproduction include photocopying, scanning, and printing. Fees apply to all orders.

Permission to Publish Form

This form must be filled out when SCA material is used in a publication, for an exhibit, or on the web. Please fill out and sign the form and either fax (435-797-2880) or mail (Special Collections and Archives, Merrill-Cazier Library; 3000 Old Main Hill; Logan, UT 84322-3000) it back to SCA.

Instruction and Tours

SCA staff conduct dozens of instructional classes and group tours every year. Please contact the department to arrange for a class visit or tour.
