About Special Collections & Archives
Special Collections Archives (SCA) houses materials that have been placed in a secure, monitored, closed-stack environment. SCA is divided into seven sections including the folklore archives, manuscripts, photographs, USU archives, art book room, preservation, and Western and Mormon Americana.
SCA Section Descriptions
The Special Collections and Archives division is composed of seven distinct sections (Art Book Collections, Folklore, Manuscripts, Western and Mormon Americana, Photographs, Preservation, and USU Archives). Each section is assigned a specialist who is responsible for the care and use of the materials.
SCA Section Registers
New collection registers are in EAD format, older html collection registers are found under each section. A list of these older html registers for each section can be found here.

Donating to SCA
Many of the materials found in Special Collections and Archives are available to researchers because of gifts given by generous people interested in preserving them for future generations.
