Making a donation

Many of the materials found in Special Collections and Archives are available to researchers because of gifts given by generous people interested in preserving them for future generations. Gifts can be made to Special Collections and Archives by contacting department head Brad Cole or any of the staff members by phone (435-797-2663) or email. A few of the areas in which we collect books, manuscripts and photographs are:

• Cache Valley (Utah and Idaho) history, geography, etc.
• Cache Valley Veterans information and materials
• Diaries, journals, etc. regarding Utah, Idaho, and Mormon history
• Utah State University history
• Rare books and periodicals on any subject
• Artist books
• The book as an art object
• Mormons and Mormonism
• Religions in Utah
• Cowboy poetry
• American Folklore and Folklife
• Personal histories, biographies, autobiographies
• Intermountain West (i.e. history, geology, etc.)
• Western authors (i.e. May Swenson, Vardis Fisher)
