Electronic Resources & Computer Use

Electronic Resources
Users of journal databases and online journals purchased by USU Library agree to adhere to copyright restrictions for each resource as they appear under the terms of Utah State University's licensing agreement with each publisher. As such, users are prohibited from the use, sale, transference, copying or reproduction of material for commercial gain. Reproduction of material from databases or electronic journals is reserved for educational purposes only.

Off-Campus Access [link to off campus access page]: Access to Electronic Resources is restricted to the USU campus. As a result, anyone wishing to connect to these from off-campus must use the USU Proxy Server or VPN.

Computers
The Utah State University Student Code spells out policies regarding many activities, including computer use. Information Commons staff is authorized to deny lab access to any person who does not comply with policies and relevant regulations in the student code. Policy violations may also be referred to the Office of the Vice President for Student Services. Theft, failure to observe copyright laws, or tampering with computers or networks may lead to prosecution through law enforcement and University agencies.
