Help On GeoRef

Description

Geology and geophysics research. GeoRef is a database by the American Geological Institute covering the world's literature in geology and the geosciences. It contains over 2.2 million citations and abstracts. GeoRef covers the geology of North America since 1785 and the geology of the world since 1933. Over 3,000 journals are scanned, as well as books, maps, reports, most USGS publications, and master's theses and doctoral dissertations. The database is the equivalent of four major reference publications: Bibliography of North American Geology, Bibliography and Index of Geology Exclusive of North America, Geophysical Abstracts, and the Bibliography and Index of Geology. Additional items come from special bibliographies produced on request for state surveys or societies, and annual subject and author indexes.
