How to Create Library Online Catalog User Account

In order to request bound journals out of the BARN or reserve a group study room, each library patron must create a HIP (Library Online Catalog) User Account before a patron can request a bound journal.

 

Instructions:

  • Go to HIP < http://129.123.124.103/ >
  • In upper right hand corner click on Login Icon Icon of a person standing next to a lock.
  • Click on link at below text fields: Register as a new user
  • Using mouse cursor, select Horizon from list then click on NEXT button
  • Complete text fields:
    1. Please enter your user name:
      • Create a username for yourself
    2. Please enter your password:
      • Use a password you will remember
    3. Please enter a question we can ask you to reset your password:
      • The system will ask you this if you forget your password
    4. Please enter your answer
      • Answer to you Question
    5. Please enter your A Number:
      • Enter as A12345678, for example
    6. PIN#
      • This is your 2-digit day and month of birth, i.e., May 17 = 0517
    7. Click the FINISH button.
NOTE: If a you or a user forget their login ID and/or password they can set-up another account following the same process.
