Searching the Web
Use a directory or guide: Librarians have selected websites and organized them in lists or directories.
InfoMine: Librarians have selected these resources because they meet high standards for quality and will serve a scholarly or academic audience.

Use a search engine: Google is a good place to get a large number of results.
Use advanced searching techniques to limit a search. In Google Advanced Search, for example, you can look only at sites that end in "edu" to find information from colleges and universities.
1. Click Advanced Search.

2. Enter search terms and limits. You can limit a search to a particular part of a web page (such as title) or a domain (such as .edu for college and university sites).
