You can search some databases directly from EndNote or EndNote Web. In most cases, you will lose some of the specialized search fields and options of the database, but in a few cases (i.e. PubMed) the specialized search fields are carried over to EndNote.
CSA
Example: GeoRef, Animal Behavior Abstracts
Requires a CSA-specific User ID and password. See Help Guide below. Connecting to CSA databases off-campus via EndNote Web is not possible at this time.
Merrill-Cazier Library Catalog
The Merrill-Cazier Library Online Catalog connection file enables you to search the Merrill-Cazier library catalog through Endnote and import citations directly into EndNote. The only fields in which you can search are author, year, title, or subject keyword.
OCLC
Examples: GeoBase, EconLit
You should not be asked for a User ID or password. If you are prompted for a User ID and password, leave the fields blank and click Connect.
Web of Science
Examples: Science Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index
You should not be asked for a User ID or password. Note: You cannot connect to Web of Science via EndNote X if you are off campus. You need to be connected to the web via the USU proxy server if you are connecting to Web of Science via EndNote Web from off-campus.
