ABI Inform Global
ABI/Inform Global is a business management database providing access to 1300 journals, including 350 from outside the U.S. The database coverage includes: advertising, business conditions, economics, finance, trends, corporate strategies, management techniques, marketing, taxation, and product information. ABI/Inform provides full-text and full-image coverage for more than 600 journals that are indexed. Coverage: 1992 to date. Access: USU Only.

Catalog of U.S. Government Publications
Catalog of U. S. Government Publications is a database that gives access to the publications issued by all branches of the government, including both the Congressional publications and the department & bureau publications. Search options include: author, title, subject, keyword, SuDoc number, technical report, and others. Indexes publications issuing from agencies and bureaus with administrative jurisdiction over trade policy issues, such as the following: the International Trade Administration; the International Trade Commission; the State Department; the Bureau of Export Administration, and the Commerce Department generally. Coverage: 1976 to date. Access: USU Only.

Congressional Universe
Congressional Universe is a comprehensive database of US Legislative information. It indexes all committee level congressional publications. It contains the full-text of bills (1989 to date), laws (1988 to date), Federal Register (1980 to date), Code of Federal Regulations, National Journal (1980 to date), information on members of congress & committees. Provides indexing and abstracting for publications issuing from congressional committees that have oversight and legislative jurisdiction in the field of international trade, such as the following: the House Committee on Ways and Means; the House Committee on International Relations; the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs; and the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. EconLit
A bibliographic database developed by the American Economic Association that indexes articles from 340 journals covering worldwide economic literature as well as chapters in edited books and dissertations. It is compiled from the index portion of the Journal of Economic Literature and Index of Economic Articles. Coverage: 1969 to date. Access: USU Only.

Lexis/Nexis
Provides full-text access to major newspapers and selected journals, including many industry journals, as well as such trade related journals as Journal of Commerce, Asian Banker, Capital Markets Russia, and Latin Trade. Coverage: varies; Access: USU Only

PAIS (Public Affairs Information Service)
PAIS International is an interdisciplinary subject index to articles from 2100 journals, books, government publications, pamphlets, internet documents (since 1996), and reports relating to public issues and social policy . Subject areas covered include: demography, economics, environment, finance, international law, military science, political science, public administration, public health, etc. Coverage: 1972 to date. Access: USU Only

Social Science Abstracts
Social Sciences Abstracts, is a bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles from more than 415 English-language journals published in the United States and elsewhere. The areas covered include: anthropology, criminology, economics, geography, law, political science, psychology, sociology and related fields. Coverage: 1982 to date. Access: USU Only. NOTE: Database includes USU journal holdings and call numbers.

Statistical Universe (Statistical Universe is the world's most comprehensive access to statistical information from the US federal and state governments, as well as from international organizations. The service allows users to search summaries of statistical publications and provides detailed abstracts, indexing, and locator information for all statistical reports. It will also provide links to the full-text of selected publications on Statistical Universe and government Web sites. Coverage: 1960 to date. Access: USU Only).

Institute for International Economics (A prominent pro-trade think tank that focus on the World Trade Organization and globalization-related issues. The research includes policy briefs, working papers, book reviews, and speeches).

Trade and Development Center (This site is jointly operated by the World Bank and the World Trade Organization. It has a forum page where the public may be granted access to "serious" discussions on international trade, and the implications thereof, on post-industrial, industrialized, industrializing, and impoverished countries)

US International Trade Administration (Includes trade statistics and documents on key policy initiatives).

World Trade Organization ( In its own words, "is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world's trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business").

Translated Foreign Documents, for Cross-Cultural Perspective:

THE JOINT PUBLICATIONS RESEARCH SERVICE(JPRS), a bureau of the US Executive Office of the President. WHAT ARE JPRS REPORTS? JPRS was the largest single producer of English language translations. JPRS was established in 1957 to provide agencies of the federal government with translations of foreign documents in all fields of technology, science, and the social sciences. Translations were done by private researchers and linguists under commercial contract with JPRS, and were commissioned and financed by various government agencies. JPRS TRANSLATES MATERIALS FROM WHICH GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS? Reports were regularly translated from China; Asia (Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Southeast Asia); Eastern Europe; Western Europe; Latin America; Near East; Africa; and the USSR.

THE FOREIGN BROADCAST INFORMATION SERVICE (FBIS), a sister agency to the JPRS. Initially, FBIS translated primarily foreign radio and television broadcasts, gradually expanding its coverage to include print materials. FBIS issues daily reports on the following regions: East Asia; East Europe; Latin America; Near East and South Asia; China, the Soviet Union, and West Europe.
