Number of Networked Electronic Resources
1.) Number of electronic journals purchased: 27,542Expenditures for Networked Electronic Resources
Based on Serials Solutions holdings, this number includes all iterations of individual titles but does not include any of the open access profiles. Note: IEEE publications as reported by Serials Solutions are not included as proceedings are incorporated into their totals. IEEE numbers are derived from their website's description of the number of journal titles included within the IEL (243 journals). Additionally, EJS content is excluded as it is generally provides duplicative links to packages already counted in other profiles.
2.) Number of electronic “full text” journals purchased: 3,292
Number derived from manually adding the number of titles included in relavent profiles as reported by Serials Solutions. All aggregator packages are excluded.
3.) Number of electronic journals not purchased: 3,290
Based on titles reported as included in open access profiles that we have activated within our Serials Solutions knowledgebase. Does not include “free” electronic with print. These titles are included in sections 1 and 2.
4.) Number of electronic reference sources: 189
Information derived from locally maintained spreadsheet. E-Book platforms are included (e.g. NetLibrary, EEBO, and Archive of Americana titles). E-Reference books are included (e.g. The CRC Handbook, individually purchased Oxford encyclopedias, etc.) Resources that are not licensed (either by USU or a consortium) are not included in this total.
5.) Number of electronic books: 175,300
Includes the following: Safari, NetLibrary, CRC Handbook, EngNetBase titles, EEBO collection (currently estimated by vendor at 100,000 titles), Early American Imprints (currently estimated by vendor at 72,000 titles), Oxford Reference Online titles, and individually purchased encyclopedias from Oxford, Dekker, and Gale.

7.) Expenditures for current electronic journals purchased: Not Available
We are currently unable to pull this information as most of the electronic journal expenditures are conflated into the print serials budget. Limited information on packages may be available if requested.
8.) Expenditures for electronic “full-text” journals: Not Available
See above
9.) Expenditures for electronic reference sources: $625,735
Includes materials expenditures from electronic materials funds (e-book expenditures are deducted, however). Includes e-journal packages that are used as portals and included in the A-Z database list. Includes full cost of IEL and Web of Science, though the majority of these invoices was actually paid out of Research funds in FY2006. Includes $29,200 UALC fee.
10.) Expenditures for electronic books: $29,677
Includes all locally paid titles reported in 5 above (NOTE: some are paid by UALC). Includes ongoing fees for Americana and EEBO.
11.) Does your library offer federated searching? NO
12.) Number of sessions (logins) to databases or services: 69,718
12a.) Number of resources for which you are reporting: 32
13.) Number of searches (queries) in databases or services: 228,351
13a.) Number of resources for which you are reporting: 40
NOTE ON 12 and 13: Not all data included here are pulled from COUNTER compliant vendors—many of our vendors are not COUNTER compliant. Additionally, a fair number of our vendors do not make this information available—or only make either searches or queries available. Tracking of e-journal package usage is not consistent enough to include—these numbers report only electronic reference sources. Finally, these numbers include only resources purchased locally. UALC and Pioneer (consortium) titles are not included. Therefore, these numbers dramatically underrepresent the usage of our e-resources.
