Logging-In to Library Services
The Merrill-Cazier Library supports several online services requiring login by individual users. At this time, we are unable to provide access to these services via a unified user ID and password. (Hopefully we will be able to provide a unified log-in in the future.) Below are descriptions of the services requiring authentication and instructions for connecting to them. E-Reserves
A service through which instructors place electronic copies of required and supplemental materials in a secure online location for use by members of a specific class. This module also provides a place to look up call numbers for books and videos that have been placed on physical reserve in the Library Media Collections in Merrill-Cazier Library. Login to the E-Reserves system is specific to individual courses. The log-in instructions for your particular course can be obtained from a Reference Librarian or from your instructor.

Off-Campus Access to Databases (USU Proxy)
A service that provides off-campus access to most Library electronic journals and databases. The proxy is maintained by USU Network and Computing Services and requires a cc.usu.edu email account. Your log-in for that email account is also the login for USU proxy. IMPORTANT: Do not use the extension @cc.usu.edu when logging-in! Only use the actual user name for the log-in ID.

My Library Account
A service that allows Library users to renew books, request items from the BARN, and reserve group study rooms. In order to set-up this account, your card must be activated at the Merrill-Cazier Circulation Desk. You can then set-up your own user name and password for this account.

Interlibrary Services Account (ILLiad)
A service that allows students, faculty, and staff to request materials that USU does not own through Interlibrary Loan. Electronic copies of articles will be delivered through the ILLiad portal. Individuals can also maintain a history of their interlibrary request activity on their own profile for future reference. Users establish their own log-in ID and password.
