BARN: (Borrower’s Automated Retrieval Network):
Serials personnel maintain, operate, store & retrieve journals from the BARN's journal collection. Journals are "pulled" and checked-out from the Serials Desk on the 2nd floor of the Merrill-Cazier Library. The BARN is an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) that was built along side the new library addition in 2005. The BARN is a warehouse-type space that allows us to store library materials in a high density, cost effective and climate-controlled manner.
