The Art and Book Arts collections feature rare and unique materials related to the visual arts and the art and history of the book.  The collections include book arts, artists' books, sketchbooks and original artworks-on-paper including drawings, prints, and watercolors.

The Hatch Memorial Library was donated to Utah State University in 1953 by L. Boyd and Anne McQuarrie Hatch.  Established as a rare book reading room, the library houses the Hatch book collection on architecture, art history, gardening, and interior design.  Also donated by L. Boyd and Anne McQuarrie Hatch were the room's furnishings,  featuring 15th to 18th century English, Italian, and Flemish decorative arts including oak linenfold paneling, tapestry, furniture, paintings, and objets d'art.
