The Fife Folklore Archives requires photographic images accompanying student collections to include a photograph or
digital copy (made preferably on a high quality printer) and the image scanned onto the item page. For an example of a
scanned image click here. The photograph or digital copy, preferably black and white, should accompany the collection in a separate envelope marked
clearly with the collectors name, collection or item title, course, instructor and year. Black and white prints are
preferable for archival purposes, however, for some items, like quilts, color photographs give more detail. A strip
negative of the photograph is also encouraged, but not required. If including a strip negative, please place it in the
envelope with the photographic image.
